Subscription questions

How does my school subscribe?

There is a form in the subscribe section. Once you complete and submit the form, your school will be sent an invoice. You will be invoiced on the entry point you have selected for PLOT. Your account will be activated when payment has been received.

How much does it cost?

Schools select an entry point that suits their needs. Initially, many schools select entry point 1 and then upgrade their subscription to a higher entry point at a later stage. Details of the entry points can be found at:

  http://www.plotpd.com/Subscribe/Subscribe.htm

What if our school chooses Entry point 1 with only 10 logins and then decides in a few months to provide all our staff with a login?

You can upgrade your subscription choice at any time. Simply email our PLOT team with the number of staff requiring logins (new entry point). We will calculate the difference and invoice your school.

How do we choose how many staff should have logins?

This is totally up to your school and depends on your budget and purpose for using PLOT. If your school wants to move forward with schoolwide professional development, then it is recommended that all staff members have their own login. This provides them with their own personal journal, access to rubrics and personal action plans and of course the content. Schools can then set up team journals and all staff can access the school journal which is maintained by a school leader. Lower entry points were provided as an option for large schools who may be just beginning their journey and want their professional leadership team to work through the content first.

When will our logins be activated?

The logins will be activated after we receive payment for your subscription.

How much does it cost for Education Queensland schools?

Education Queensland has a 'Standing Offer Arrangement' with Hands On Educational Consultancy. Their schools have been allocated a 70% discount to PLOT. If your educational system or university wishes to arrange a special price please contact Joan Dalton and David Anderson: info@plotpd.com

Is it cheaper if our school subscribes for two or three years?

Yes. Contact our PLOT team to discuss the substantial saving you will receive. PLOT will be maintained and constantly updated for three years with Joan Dalton and David Anderson running forums and inputing content.

What does our school subscription provide?

  • As many journals as indicated in your subscription. These include rubrics, action plans, professional development plans and selected content.
  • The ability to personalise your staff's journey by adding your own school logo and the ability to place notices on the school noticeboard.
  • Access to forums run by Joan Dalton and David Anderson.
  • The ability to manage your own staff logins and access to PLOT.
  • Ability to administer the team and school journals.
  • Access to the report section.

What happens when our account is activated?

A member of the PLOT staff will update your account status to 'active' and an email will be sent to the main email address you entered when completing the PLOT subscription form. The email message contains one administrator's login and password for the person nominated on the subscription form. At the same time, a school kit will be posted to your school. The school kit contains:

  • a welcome letter from Joan Dalton and David Anderson - the authors of PLOT. The letter contains some practical tips for getting started with PLOT.
  • a school administrator's instructioin sheet - this sheet provides step-by-step instructions on how to setup your noticeboard and how to activate the logins for team members.
  • a staff member's instruction sheet with tips on getting started and hints on how to use the site.
  • a list of contacts for PLOT.
  • a Lamp of Learning poster.
  • a site map poster providing an overview of the major sections of the site.

The pdf versions of the school kit are linked to the relevant pages of the web site.
